Our Story
Stacey and Oralia Cooper met in Idaho in 2001, bonding over their love for the outdoors. They discovered shared interests, including owning the same make and model SUVs and educational backgrounds from Idaho State University.
Oralia is an avid runner with multiple accolades, and enjoys long distance running in nature. She earned her Master's degree in Educational Leadership and enjoys spending time with her family. Stacey, a retired Cavalry Officer, served 24 years in the U.S. Army and later served as a Director for the U.S. Department of Labor.
For over 22 years, they lived in Michigan, vacationing annually in Oregon, where they charter fished and explored the coast. Inspired by their love for the area, they purchased a 35-acre estate in the coastal mountain range along the Nehalem River, named Mi Casa Northwest (MCN), to create a retreat for family and friends.
In 2024, they relocated to Oregon and began transforming MCN into a welcoming venue for events, camping, and outdoor activities, opening it to the public in July 2025 for those seeking tranquility and nature experiences.
